BOYSETSFIRE (1994-2007) (2010-Present)
Boysetsfire was founded by vocalist Nat Gray and guitarists Chad Istvan and Josh Latshaw in Newark, DE, October 1994. Boysetsfire played their first show October 28, 1994, and released their first demo cassettes in late 1994 and early 1995. The band started their first tour in the summer of 1995 and the band released their first EP, This Crying, This Screaming, My Voice Is Being Born in 1996. The following year, they signed a contract with Initial Records and recorded their first album, The Day the Sun Went Out.
One of Delaware's primary musical exports, Boysetsfire were a linchpin of the mid- to late-90s DIY scene, eventually signing with Wind-up Records in the early 2000s (the label that launched the careers of Creed and Evanescence).
