Corpus Rottus (1989-2011)

Corpus Rottus was an American death metal band formed in Wilmington, Delaware, in 1989. Known for their brutal death metal sound, the band's themes often revolved around death, gore, hatred, and pain. They gained a reputation for being one of the most brutal death metal acts to emerge from the state. Corpus Rottus released several demos and albums throughout their career, including their notable Rituals of Silence and Nihilism. The band was active for over two decades, disbanding in 2011. Kevin Coates, one of their members, passed away in 2012.
