ELDRITCH ANISETTE (1996-1997)

Out of the ashes of Clevinger (Tim and Courtney) joined by Allen Hitchens on guitar and Marc Krupanski on bass. Emerged out of the local Enoch Collective scene. Their only release is a self-titled 7", recorded during winter of 96/97. Beforehand, they also made a 6-track demo tape, 3 songs ended up on the 7". Within a few months ofthe release of the 7", the band disbanded. Numero Group re-released all 6 of their recorded tracks on a 12" in August 2025.

They did at least a dozen shows in their lifetime. According to Courtney, at their peak, they were doing one show a week. Their earliest dated show is at Girls Inc on the 27th April, 1996.
The name of the band comes from Courtney, and Allen (guitarist). Courtney at the time was heavily interested in the French language, and liked the word anisette (type of liquor). Allen afterwards suggested eldritch, which Courtney in an interview said "creates a kind of mystery, and means 'strange, unearthly'".
