SMASHING ORANGE (1990-1995)

Smashing Orange was an influential Wilmington, Delaware-based shoegaze band formed in 1990 by siblings Rob and Sara Montejo. Known for their blend of heavy, '60s-inspired garage rock and dreamy, fuzzed-out melodies, they were a notable American counterpart to the UK scene. They released albums on Native and MCA Records before disbanding in 1995.
